Lately I have been playing a lot of flash games. The recent influx of flash is due to the online flash community site Kongregate. For those of you who have never seen Kongregate before, think of it as a free version of XBoX Live for flash gamers. While playing flash games is great, it is even more satisfying achieving badges and gaining levels. So I recommend you all register on Kongregate for free. Remember to add eon1713 as a friend. 5. Desktop Tower Defense 1.5

Description from Kongregate: New and improved version of the popular Tower Defense game. Buy towers, kill creeps, earn gold, buy more towers. You know the drill!

TMG Review: This is the first game I ever played on Kongregate and thus it will hold a special place in my heart. Right next to The Toxic Adventures live action movie. In this game your goal is to buildup a defense that will stop all the enemies who try to cross to the other side of the screen.

4. Fancy Pants Adventure World 2

Description from Kongregate: Remember, anything involving the Snailshell is optional. You can even go to straight to Level 1 from the Level Select room instead of going to ‘Start Game’. Snailshell Golf is an optional challenge. IF YOU FIND FANCY GOLFBALL TO BE TOO HARD, DON’T PLAY IT

TMG Review: This game is hands down the best platformer made in flash. Fancy Pants is very similar to Sonic the HeadgeHog. Your goal is to collect squigglies and avoid damage while you progress through the levels. Prepare to lose a few days of your life to this game.

3. Super Crazy Guitar Maniac Deluxe 2

The API is implemented so it shouldn’t be long before there are badges. Also Kongregate have assured me that you won’t lose your saves again!

TMG Review: Anyone who has played Guitar Hero, DDR, or Rock Band will recognize this game. Using WASD and your arrow keys you play the rhythm of several songs from Newgrounds. Oddly enough the author managed to find some decent music on the Newgrounds Audio Portal. I catch myself playing the game just to hear a few of the songs. If your looking for a challenge, this is it. While the first song on easy mode is not hard, the rest of the songs progress in difficulty quite nicely. I have yet to beat some of the pro songs.

2. Dolphin Olympics 2

TMG Review: While the premise for this game may not seem very interesting, it really is a great game. Dolphin Olympics is very reminiscent of California Games for the NES. Just the surfing portion of California Games anyways. The goal is to perform the coolest tricks possible by gaining speed to make larger jumps. While in the air you can flip and twirl, creating several different tricks.

1. Five Differences

Description from Kongregate: More of an art project than a game, and sort of an experiment with rotoscoping. Click on the 5 things you find different between the two images to advance to the next stage.

TMG Review: Like the old Highlights magazines at the dentist office, this game forces you to find the differences between two pictures. The picture above is a screenshot from the game. Go ahead and see if you can find all 5 differences. Enjoy.
